Your poem is beautiful and I loved this post so much. I also have a special thing with words and I smiled reading that you can't read something without noting or exploring something further because I do the same so often. When I started reading in English ages ago, I was always carrying a dictionary and a notebook along the book itself to write down words or expressions that spoke to me in some ways. One of my favorite words in English is "serendipity".
I really do like your verse at the end. It spells "freedom".
Thanks so much, Neena 🙏🏾
We may both love words, but I have little doubt that you're better at spelling them than me 🤣
Also, loved these lines!
"Would you believe that I did his bidding,
walked into the woods, shivering, cursing and
wondering what madness could this be..."
Thanks, Jamal! I’m afraid my spelling prowess may have peaked at age 11 🤣
😂
I'm so happy that poetry is back, for you and for us, your readers.
This is a powerful essay, thank you.
Paulette, thank you so much! I hope that the poetry decides to stay for a while 😉
Oh! Poetry Incarnate! ❤️
It rendered itself as such!
:-)

Thank you, Maïlys! Sounds like we’re in the same boat 😊. And I love ‘serendipity’ too.
